The 2008 convention of the Canadian Action Party/Parti Action Canadienne was held in Ottawa August 22,23,24 on the campus of Carleton University. The convention convened under the provisions of the party Constitution, governing the election of the party leader, election of the national executive and adoption of policies and resolutions by the membership.

A major feature of this convention was an address by our current leader, Connie Fogal, who has tendered her resignation but has agreed to stay on as Interim Leader until a new leader is elected. Connie delivered her address on the opening day of the convention.

Convention elected a full slate of new executive officers. The new roster will be posted shortly.

Participants found the convention rewarding and productive.
