Hello CAP Members and Supporters,

I recently had a very disturbing conversation with a Mr. Timothy Moorley. Mr. Moorley has a serious life-threatening medical condition (a hole in his heart), and is involved in a product liability lawsuit against Pfizer regarding their product Celebrex. It is Mr. Moorleys claim that Pfizer, with the help of Canadian Doctors and Technicians, has altered his medical records and diagnostic tests taken in Canada.

Due to the seriousness of his allegations against Pfizer and certain members of the medical community, Mr. Moorley has found he has been outright refused medical care in Canada, leaving his life-threatening condition untreated. He is unable to find a Doctor willing to treat him or to represent him in court, confirming his medical condition, which has been confirmed by independent diagnostic tests done in the United States. Timothy Moorley has contacted the Canadian Action Party and its supporters after receiving inadequate response from the mainstream political parties.

Mr. Moorley has suffered years of abuse at the hands of the healthcare and legal systems, and is trying desperately to find someone to help him.  During our conversation he expressed utter frustration and despair at this ongoing nightmare he finds himself in. He is the father of 5 daughters, and anticipates dying soon without medical care, or doing something "unbecoming" to draw attention to this situation; a horrific abuse of our medical system by the pharmaceutical cartel.

He recently, out of desperation and lack of options, undertook a 60-day hunger strike without tangible results or desired media coverage. This egregious situation is an example of what awaits each and every one of us should we continue in the elitist, corporate-manipulated system of government we currently find ourselves in.

For a Canadian citizen to be outright denied needed healthcare is cause for all to take note of, and action towards, on his behalf. If it can happen to one of us, it can happen to all of us. The right to healthcare is certainly a right worth defending. He has asked for our help - for anyone's help - in not only finding a Doctor brave enough to present his medical condition in court, but also to treat and assess his condition so that he may extend his life.

The CAP National Executive will be working on a media response and outreach to the medical community. We encourage all members and supporters to contact their MPs in support of Mr. Moorley and to please circulate this information in hopes of bringing justice and health to Mr. Moorley and all Canadians.

A written summary from Timothy Moorley can be read here.

Any responses or ideas from the CAP membership would be greatly appreciated.

Sincerely,
Melissa Brade

CAP Policy Opposes Bill C6 PDF

For Immediate Release - October 16, 2009

The Canadian Action Party recently became the only federal political party to vehemently oppose bill C6, an act representing the safety of consumer products, by passing urgent policy to protect Canadians against this unconstitutional bill.

Bill C6 is a regurgitation of last years failed bills C51 and C52, and if passed in the next few days will be the ultimate blow to the constitutional rights of Canadians.

Melissa Brade
Interim Leader - Melissa Brade

I am pleased to announce that I have been selected by the Canadian Action Party National Executive to represent you as Interim Leader following the resignation of Interim Leader Dave Wilkinson.

The first goal in my mandate is to begin the process of electing a leader by the membership in accordance with the Canadian Action Party Constitution. In addition I look forward to inviting all Canadian Action Party members to help prepare the party for a federal election.

The full support of the membership is needed by the candidates who have graciously offered to donate their time to the cause of freedom. The Executive felt that I would be a valuable inclusion to their team due to our strong working relationships and mutual desires to build a truly grassroots party.

The autocratic party structure of the past both fails to deliver results and does not keep within Canadian Action Party ideals as stated in our Constitution. The current National Executive and myself both have a mutual vision of a bottomup structure (or hierarchy) where the will of the membership governs Canadian Action Party actions and Canadian Action Party policy.

Join your fellow Canadian Action Party members in solidarity as we build Electoral District Associations from coast to coast to coast. Remember I am here to represent you, and Canada, in the most transparent way possible, respecting your viewpoints and the overall will of our valued members. I look forward to opening an ongoing dialogue with all party members.

For those of you who have not had the chance to become acquainted with me, I welcome your phone calls, emails, suggestions and feedback. I am a 30 year old, married mother of 2 daughters, and I reside in rural Alberta, about an hour north of Edmonton. My qualities include an eagerness to learn, a willingness to cooperate for the betterment of all, and a proven commitment to this party despite the hardships which may come.

I am pleased to announce that Canadian Action Party will be holding a town hall meeting where I, along with the National Executive will answer any questions party members have. The meeting will take place October 8th 2009 at 8:00 EST at the phone # 1712 432 3900 Conference ID # 580745. If you are unable to attend and you have a question you would liked asked, please contact the town hall moderator Calvin Keats at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
