Melissa Brade
Interim Leader - Melissa Brade

I am pleased to announce that I have been selected by the Canadian Action Party National Executive to represent you as Interim Leader following the resignation of Interim Leader Dave Wilkinson.

The first goal in my mandate is to begin the process of electing a leader by the membership in accordance with the Canadian Action Party Constitution. In addition I look forward to inviting all Canadian Action Party members to help prepare the party for a federal election.

The full support of the membership is needed by the candidates who have graciously offered to donate their time to the cause of freedom. The Executive felt that I would be a valuable inclusion to their team due to our strong working relationships and mutual desires to build a truly grassroots party.

The autocratic party structure of the past both fails to deliver results and does not keep within Canadian Action Party ideals as stated in our Constitution. The current National Executive and myself both have a mutual vision of a bottomup structure (or hierarchy) where the will of the membership governs Canadian Action Party actions and Canadian Action Party policy.

Join your fellow Canadian Action Party members in solidarity as we build Electoral District Associations from coast to coast to coast. Remember I am here to represent you, and Canada, in the most transparent way possible, respecting your viewpoints and the overall will of our valued members. I look forward to opening an ongoing dialogue with all party members.

For those of you who have not had the chance to become acquainted with me, I welcome your phone calls, emails, suggestions and feedback. I am a 30 year old, married mother of 2 daughters, and I reside in rural Alberta, about an hour north of Edmonton. My qualities include an eagerness to learn, a willingness to cooperate for the betterment of all, and a proven commitment to this party despite the hardships which may come.

I am pleased to announce that Canadian Action Party will be holding a town hall meeting where I, along with the National Executive will answer any questions party members have. The meeting will take place October 8th 2009 at 8:00 EST at the phone # 1712 432 3900 Conference ID # 580745. If you are unable to attend and you have a question you would liked asked, please contact (contact info removed 2010-04-22). Thank you so much for all the joy and gratification being a Canadian Action Party representative has brought to my life. I look forward to serving you as Interim Leader.

In Peace and Solidarity,
Melissa Brade

It is over 6 months since this post. Under the Constitution The National executive should have scheduled a leadership election. See section 10 below.

Leadership Review and Elections

In the event that more than fifty (50) percent of the votes cast in the Leadership Review under 8(a)
or more than sixty (60) percent of the votes cast under 8(b) are in the affirmative, or upon the death
of the Leader or public announcement of the Leader’s intention to resign, National Executive shall,
within six (6) months, call for a leadership election.

I have lost all faith in this party after connie fogal left. your party like all other political parties has become corrupt and no longer follows its original mandate. Im sure this will fall on deaf ears however as your agenda seems to be more important than your party rules.
