Hello CAP Members and Supporters,

I recently had a very disturbing conversation with a Mr. Timothy Moorley. Mr. Moorley has a serious life-threatening medical condition (a hole in his heart), and is involved in a product liability lawsuit against Pfizer regarding their product Celebrex. It is Mr. Moorleys claim that Pfizer, with the help of Canadian Doctors and Technicians, has altered his medical records and diagnostic tests taken in Canada.

Due to the seriousness of his allegations against Pfizer and certain members of the medical community, Mr. Moorley has found he has been outright refused medical care in Canada, leaving his life-threatening condition untreated. He is unable to find a Doctor willing to treat him or to represent him in court, confirming his medical condition, which has been confirmed by independent diagnostic tests done in the United States. Timothy Moorley has contacted the Canadian Action Party and its supporters after receiving inadequate response from the mainstream political parties.

Mr. Moorley has suffered years of abuse at the hands of the healthcare and legal systems, and is trying desperately to find someone to help him.  During our conversation he expressed utter frustration and despair at this ongoing nightmare he finds himself in. He is the father of 5 daughters, and anticipates dying soon without medical care, or doing something "unbecoming" to draw attention to this situation; a horrific abuse of our medical system by the pharmaceutical cartel.

He recently, out of desperation and lack of options, undertook a 60-day hunger strike without tangible results or desired media coverage. This egregious situation is an example of what awaits each and every one of us should we continue in the elitist, corporate-manipulated system of government we currently find ourselves in.

For a Canadian citizen to be outright denied needed healthcare is cause for all to take note of, and action towards, on his behalf. If it can happen to one of us, it can happen to all of us. The right to healthcare is certainly a right worth defending. He has asked for our help - for anyone's help - in not only finding a Doctor brave enough to present his medical condition in court, but also to treat and assess his condition so that he may extend his life.

The CAP National Executive will be working on a media response and outreach to the medical community. We encourage all members and supporters to contact their MPs in support of Mr. Moorley and to please circulate this information in hopes of bringing justice and health to Mr. Moorley and all Canadians.

A written summary from Timothy Moorley can be read here.

Any responses or ideas from the CAP membership would be greatly appreciated.

Sincerely,
Melissa Brade
Leader
The Canadian Action Party

Is there a way to get more of the evidence of the results etc on this.

Also what is the outcome of the Court Case filing that Timothy has done in 2005 in BC? (poynerbaxter.com/.../...) Is there legal concerns that should be raised with additional CAP involvement?

Has Timothy filed with the many Tort claims on Celebrex? such as; toxic-torts.lawyers.com/.../ .

Would like more information on the particulars as I also know people including my father that have undiagnosed illnesses, and the process can be frustrating. The importance is to present a solution that meets all the factors of the problem.

Knowing more evidence and factors on one individual is prudent and wise for such an onslaught of resources.

I feel that a general group on Health Care is important for CAP to formulate that would include such individuals as Timothy as each Canadian is important.

and read entire letter and view incontrovertibl e evidence supporting important facts documented in this important letter proving that what is being done to Timothy Moorley was also done to my 2 children and I when we were severely injured and mutilated by an orthodontist, and far more injustice than Timothy Moorley has reported and what you ever thought possible in Canada and that we have the evidence to prove this, including incontrovertibl e evidence that our health records were falsified to obstruct justice.

My father in law was given an asprin and nitro pill when he went to the hospitol and the doctor sent him home to die an couple hours later in his living room in front of his family. My Father had tuberculosis for 3 months and seen every doctor in the clinic some twice and after numerous chest xrays none of them could diagnos TB.He boarded a train for vancouver where a doctor diagnosed TB and called an ambulance because he was almost dead.Turned out later the whole town was riddled with cases of TB and the doctors couldnt figure that out.I could go on and on but my point is i dont think health care in canada is so great as the propaganda makes it out to be.

As a CAnadian Citizen resident in Canada, Mr. Moorley is entitled to health care for his cardiological condition. Unfortunately, our present system in CAnada permits physicians to refuse to treat him, should they so choose, because they are paid on a fee-for-service basis. So, they can refuse to take the fee, and thus refuse to treat. It's a sort of backward logic, it seems.

Our whole health-care system needs a radical overhaul, so that all those entritled to treatment, get it in a timely manner. Dare I say that such a system restructuring may involve co-payment based on ability to pay. But it is unconscionable to refuse a resident CAnadian, health care because he/she has issued a few complaints about a drug, a drug company, and possibly irritated a few health-care professionals in league with the drug corporation in question.
